Job description

**Japanese Bilingual Automation Tester** **Professional Summary:-** Experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in **Playwright, Selenium, Java, API Testing, and STLC**, coupled with Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N3/N2). Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, executing end-to-end testing activities, integrating test suites with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with global stakeholders across onsite, offshore, and customer teams. Strong exposure to Agile methodologies, automation best practices, and application transition & stabilization support aligned with JST working hours. **Mandatory Skills:-** 1. **JLPT N3 or N2 certified** with fluency in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese with native speakers. 2. Experience in Application Design, Development, Testing, and Maintenance projects. 3. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). 4. Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as **Selenium, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, Perfecto, GenRocket**, etc. 5. Demonstrated experience in in-sprint and integration testing within Agile or distributed environments. 6. Understanding of test script versioning, CI/CD integration, and defect management processes. 7. Ability to effectively coordinate with Customer SMEs from Business & IT, as well as Onsite and Offshore teams. 8. Willingness to support Application Transition and Stabilization phases by aligning with **Japan Standard Time (JST)** working hours. **Good-to-Have Skills** 1. Exposure to **Agile methodology, DevOps, Security Vulnerability Management**, and **P&C Insurance domain**. 2. Experience with scan, build, and deployment tools such as **Proofpoint, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Jira, and ServiceNow**. 3. Basic knowledge of database verification (**MySQL, PostgreSQL**) and/or performance testing using **JMeter**. **Roles & Responsibilities:-** 1. Communicate effectively in both **Japanese and English**, ensuring smooth coordination and collaboration with customers, onsite teams, and offshore teams. 2. Support application transition and stabilization activities by working during **JST morning hours** as required for Application Testing projects operating under the STLC model. 3. Perform end-to-end test automation activities including: - Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to validate software quality. - Converting manual test cases into automated test scripts. - Maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks. - Integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines. - Analyzing test results and reporting defects. - Collaborating with development teams to ensure quality standards are met. - Preparing test artifacts, automation scripts, environment configurations, and test summary reports. **Contribute to transformation initiatives focused on:** - Process maturity improvement - Testing efficiency enhancement - DevOps automation - Security vulnerability remediation - Continuous quality improvement 1. Mentor and guide junior team members, assign testing tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deliverables are completed on time without quality, schedule, or cost deviations. 2. Manage and maintain test data using tools such as **GenRocket** for synthetic data generation and testing requirements. 3. Ensure test automation frameworks support **CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub)** and align with organizational DevOps practices. 4. Collaborate with QA Leads, Developers, Business Analysts, and Customer SMEs to understand business requirements and translate them into effective automation testing solutions
