Firstsource’s inch-wide, mile-deep practitioners work collaboratively, leveraging UnBPO™ - their differentiated approach to reimagining traditional outsourcing - to deliver real-world, future-focused solutions that drive speed, scale, and smarter decision, turning transformation into tangible results for clients.” ## **Job Description – Medical Billing (US Healthcare – Refund Process)** **Job Title:** Medical Billing Executive – Refund Process **Process:** US Healthcare – RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) **Experience:** Fresher / Experienced **Shift:** Night Shift (US Shift) ### **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Review credit balances in patient accounts and identify refund opportunities. - Process patient and insurance refunds based on overpayments. - Verify refund eligibility as per client policies and compliance guidelines. - Work on refund requests received from insurance companies and patients. - Perform account research to validate overpayments. - Coordinate with AR, Payment Posting, and Billing teams for resolution. - Prepare refund request forms and supporting documentation. - Update refund status in billing software. - Ensure HIPAA compliance while handling patient data. - Meet productivity and quality targets. - Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes. ### **Required Skills:** - Basic knowledge of US Healthcare Medical Billing. - Understanding of EOB (Explanation of Benefits). - Knowledge of CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes (basic level). - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication skills. - Knowledge of MS Excel. - Attention to detail. ### **Preferred Qualifications:** - Any Graduate (Life Science preferred but not mandatory). - Medical billing certification is an added advantage. - Experience in Refunds / Payment Posting / AR Calling is preferred. ### **Key Performance Indicators (KPI):** - Productivity targets. - Quality score. - TAT (Turnaround Time). - Compliance adherence. - ️ Disclaimer: Firstsource follows a fair, transparent, and merit-based hiring process.
