Job Summary BIW Fixture Design Engineer Job Location: Pune / Bangalore Experience: 3 to 9 years Technical Skills: Hands on Experience in Designing Detailing of spot welding/MIG welding fixtures (automated and manual) Tool Skills: CATIA V5, UG NX Job Description - Concept Design (Design clamps, pin units stationary as well as retractable, slides and dumps) - Exposure to Welding Lines Process Layout (Spot Welding, ARC welding) - Performs basic engineering calculations to verify design integrity - Create 2D manufacturing drawings and BOM - Knowledge of tolerances and materials - Read and understand GDT drawings - Design experience in BIW welding fixtures - Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly process - Experience in working on various OEMs like GM, VW, BMW, FORD, DAIMLER etc. - Experience in conducting Technical Review with customer - Exposure to multiple CAD tools will be an added advantage - Experience in Teamcenter will be added advantage Skills - CATIA V5 - UG NX - BIW welding fixtures design - 2D manufacturing drawings - BOM - GDT drawings - Welding process layout (Spot Welding, ARC welding) - Teamcenter
