**Location** - Padi, Chennai **Vacancy** - 1 **Business Unit** - Heavy Vehicle **Job Description** **Scope** To handle Machining & Cold forging commodity suppliers for parts development /PPAP activities. **Key Responsibilities/ Required Skill Set** - Coordinates activities with suppliers through PPAP and SCAR to ensure that the quality of child parts supplied to all units meets the set targets. - Certifies and forwards PPAP documents for approval to meet monthly targets. - Takes corrective action and implements actions at supplier end to achieve zero Quality issues during safe launch period. - Conducts manufacturing feasibility reviews jointly with relevant functional team and suppliers to achieve first time right-sample approval. - Provides technical assistance and training to suppliers to achieve zero defect in supplier parts and also upgrade suppliers as per targets. - Prepares and forwards resourcing, retro PPAP & change management for approval to support SDI team in alternate source development, Supplier initiated changes and implementation of BI initiated changes. - Reviews and recommends child parts for DOL (Direct online) to units to implement BPS (Brakes India Production System) in supply chain. - Certifies corrective actions for SCARs raised and forward for approval as per time targets. - Co-ordinate with suppliers for warranty parts investigation and analysis. - Review Supplier PPM trend, prepare Supplier Profile sheet and conduct High PPM/SCAR review with supplier top management periodically and monitor reduction trend. - Prepares annual audit plan, conduct supplier Audit, consolidate audit reports, review and closes audit observation points with regards to supplier quality audit and recommend for re audit if required (Specify grade). - Identify system related weak areas based on audit and work with identified suppliers for audit grade upgradation. - Conducts Launch readiness audit at identified suppliers and resolve open issues. - Conducts scheduled training for suppliers as per timeline. - Conducts 6M analysis on closed complaints and periodically update Part family TGW database. - Co-ordinates for Horizontal deployment of corrective actions across Part family-Suppliers-Part numbers supplied. - Supports manufacturing units during customer audit on Supplier parts management. - Co-ordinates for system audit (internal & external) on supplier parts management. - Submits MIS on monthly performance analysis based on set objectives and targets. - Ensures compliance of revalidation report submission for commodity parts Friction & Rubber. **Desired Candidate profile** **Experience** - 3- 4 years **Education** - BE - Mechanical/ Automobile/ Production/ Electronics Immediate Joiners are preferred.
