The role involves overseeing day-to-day branch operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Branch Manager is responsible for driving sales of the branch’s product portfolio, managing and mentoring the branch team, and monitoring performance against business targets. Typical activities include developing local business plans, building and sustaining customer and partner relationships, reviewing loan proposals and credit quality, and coordinating with regional and corporate teams for seamless execution. The role also requires regular analysis of market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing initiatives to enhance branch profitability and operational efficiency. **Qualifications** - Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills to guide branch staff and foster a high-performance culture. - Proficiency in sales, business development, and customer relationship management within financial services or related sectors. - Sound understanding of retail and SME lending, credit evaluation, risk management, and regulatory compliance. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with customers, partners, and internal teams. - Ability to analyze financial data, track branch performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification or MBA is an advantage. - Relevant experience in branch operations or managerial roles in banking, NBFCs, or financial services, preferably in the local region. - Comfort with using core banking or NBFC systems, MS Office tools, and digital platforms for reporting and customer service.
