Role & responsibilities Heres a professional Business Analyst JD for 5–8 years of experience, suitable for IT hiring: Job Description – Business Analyst Experience: 5–8 Years Role: Business Analyst Location: Bangalore / Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who can work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology teams to understand business needs, translate them into functional requirements, and drive solutions through successful implementation. Key Responsibilities • Engage with business stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and requirements. • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements. • Translate business requirements into detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria. • Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC. • Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution discussions. • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization. • Create process flows, workflow diagrams, functional specifications, and wireframes where required. • Ensure requirements are clearly understood by development and testing teams. • Support UAT, including test scenario preparation, defect clarification, and business validation. • Manage requirement changes and ensure proper impact analysis. • Track project requirements, dependencies, risks, and issues. • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. • Support project delivery by ensuring solutions meet defined business objectives. Required Skills • 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT/software development environment. • Strong experience in requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management. • Hands-on experience with BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria. • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC methodologies. • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or similar tools. • Good understanding of process mapping and workflow documentation. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience in conducting requirement workshops and presentations. • Good understanding of UAT and functional testing processes. Preferred Skills • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts. • Experience with API/integration requirements. • Exposure to cloud-based applications and modern technology platforms. • Experience in a specific domain such as Banking, Insurance, Retail, Healthcare, or E-commerce will be an advantage.
