We are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for our data analytics platforms, reporting systems, BI tools and applications. This role serves as an escalation point for challenging issues requiring deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills in data analysis and business intelligence solutionsKey job responsibilitiesServe as the primary escalation point for complex data and technical issuesMonitor and optimize BI platform performanceInvestigate and resolve sophisticated problems with data pipelines Collaborate with data engineering, analytics and development teams to identify and implement solutions for product issuesCreate and maintain detailed technical documentation and knowledge base articlesProvide guidance on best practices for report developmentParticipate in on-call rotations for critical data support needsConduct root cause analysis for significant data incidentsDevelop and implement proactive measures to prevent recurring issuesContribute to the improvement of BI support processes and proceduresLiaison between support data engineering, analytics and development teams to ensure effective communicationSupport data modeling and visualization standardsTechnical Skills:• Database management and SQL – Query optimization, Data modeling, Performance Tuning• Data visualization tools expertise (e.g., Quicksight, PowerBI, Tableau, Looker etc.)• ETL/ELT process and optimization knowledge – Data pipeline design, Data warehouse concepts, Data quality management• Advanced troubleshooting and debugging techniques• Data security and governance best practices - Data access controls, Compliance requirements, Data privacy standardsSecondary Technical Skills:• Data and API integrations• Scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)• Networking protocols and configurations• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
