**Role & responsibilities** Hands-on BA experience capturing requirements and maintaining BRD, FSD, SRS documentation using Word, Excel, Confluence, Jira, or ADO.• Domain experience in Life & Annuity (L&A) insurance, with exposure to policy administration, contract management, and the broader L&A value chain.• Strong functional knowledge of Policy/Contract Management: new business, underwriting, policy issuance, billing, servicing (endorsements, riders, beneficiary changes), surrenders, lapses, reinstatements, and claims.• SDLC experience across Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe); proven liaison between business and development teams.• Skilled in writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria and collaborating with Product Owners on backlog refinement and prioritization.• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and process/data visualization tools (Visio, Tableau).• Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally) and building delivery metric dashboards.• Japanese Minimum requirement of Japanese language proficiency at the JLPT N3 level or higher• Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) certified at N3 or above.• Hands-on experience with L&A policy administration platforms (FAST, ALIP, OIPA, Wynsure, LifePRO, or equivalent).• Knowledge of L&A product types (term, whole, universal, variable life; fixed/variable annuities) and their impact on policy administration logic.• Experience supporting PAS modernization, migration, or replacement programs.• Familiarity with L&A regulatory and compliance requirements (suitability, AML/KYC, regulatory reporting, IFRS 17).• Familiarity with ACORD standards and insurance data models.• Working knowledge of AI trends in insurance — intelligent document processing, AI-augmented requirements analysis, and policy servicing automation — with ability to propose practical applications.• Certifications: CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA (IIBA-AAC). **Preferred candidate profile**
