Job Description: Lead – Tableau About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead to drive a strategic project involving rationalization and migration. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on expertise in both Spotfire and Tableau, along with the ability to make architectural decisions around report and data model consolidation. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of BI migration project, including timelines, resourcing, and delivery quality. • Drive the rationalization exercise: assess the existing report inventory, identify usage patterns, and define which reports should be migrated, retired, or consolidated. • Define the migration strategy, standards, and best practices for redeveloping reports in Tableau • Identify opportunities to consolidate report inventory • Review and approve data model designs, ensuring they are optimized, scalable, and aligned with Tableau best practices. • Oversee the work of senior developers and developers, providing technical guidance, code/design reviews, and quality assurance. • Engage with business stakeholders to validate report requirements, usage, and sign-off on rationalization decisions. • Manage risks, dependencies, and escalations throughout the migration lifecycle. • Establish governance for the new Tableau environment, including folder structure, permissions, and naming conventions. • Report project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior management/sponsors. Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience leading at least one large-scale BI migration project (Spotfire to Tableau or similar tool migrations). • Strong hands-on expertise in both Spotfire and Tableau, including report development, data modeling, and dashboard design. • Familiarity with GCP as a source • Demonstrated experience in rationalizing and consolidating BI report inventories. • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and ability to optimize/consolidate underlying data models. • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. • Experience managing or mentoring teams of developers in a BI/analytics project setting. • Strong analytical skills to evaluate existing reports and propose redesign/consolidation approaches. Good to Have • Experience with Tableau Server/Cloud administration and governance. • Familiarity with SQL, ETL processes, and underlying data warehouse/data lake structures. • Exposure to Agile project delivery methods. • Relevant certifications (Tableau Desktop Specialist/Certified Professional).
