**Job Title:** C++ DEVELOPER - APEX - GLOBAL MARKETS IT **Department** : GLOBAL MARKETS IT **About Business Line/Function** The Global Markets business of BNP Paribas helps its corporate and institutional clients leverage capital markets across the globe for their financing, risk management and investment needs. This encompasses a wide range of financial products ranging from foreign exchange to complex Equity Derivatives that are traded in financial markets across the globe 24/7. IT systems are integral to the business and are a key part of the value proposition to clients. These IT systems range from industry standard products for standard process automation to internally developed, often, market leading IT applications. The IT teams owning these IT systems are made up of functions that include Technical and Application production support, Business Analysis & Project Management, Development & Maintenance and Quality Control. BNP Paribas India Solutions is an equal partner in these IT functions along with colleagues in other locations including Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore & Hong Kong. This partnership ranges from sharing the IT workload, executing global strategy to owning global applications offshore. The technology and engineering landscape is wide, encompassing almost all techniques and platforms. It continues to evolve and transform with the market with the business continuing to invest in it. APEX Team (GM IT Booking, PnL, Reg, Ref) currently consists of its Dev Team spread across Mumbai, Bengaluru, London, Lisbon and New York. We support a Repo booking system called Apex provided by FIS. User base of these applications are global, and we regularly interact with the business from many BNPP entities. In addition to the day-to-day support and enhancements to the system we are heavily involved in the group projects that span across the full front to back chain. **Position Purpose** C++ Developer in the APEX team who will be responsible for maintenance and enhancements of different projects related to Repos domain. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - The developer will be required to do new developments, extensive analysis, Maintenance, and bug fixes. - When required, re-factorization of existing code for performance improvements and optimization. - The developer is required to show a steep learning curve to understand the application flows and independently work in the scrum. - Provide requisite information in the Jira, Intra Wiki or Word document as per the prescribed format for the team. - Will participate and contribute to the projects’ design, estimation, release, and post release activities. - Perform code reviews of the team and technically guide the juniors. - Is expected to learn about the product and all parts of the system at code level. - It is required to frequently interact with business Analysts, other application and architecture teams, production support in multiple locations. - The developer is expected to take on tasks independently and own them across all stages of the SDLC.
