Cad Engineer

Job description

**Job role - CAD Engineer.** **Experience Required:** - 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling - Minimum 2+ years of experience in the **Medical Devices domain** or a relevant industry (preferred) **Educational Qualification:** - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) with strong academic performance **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop mechanical components with a focus on **plastic molded parts** - Perform **mold flow analysis** and ensure manufacturability of designs - Apply **DFM (Design for Manufacturing)** and **DFA (Design for Assembly)** principles in product development - Create detailed CAD models, assemblies, and drawings - Conduct tolerance analysis and **GD&T implementation**, including tolerance stack-up studies - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and product engineering - Maintain proper documentation and design records using PLM/PDM systems **Technical Skills:** - Proficiency in **CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)** - Strong knowledge of **GD&T and tolerance analysis** - Good understanding of **engineering fundamentals and design calculations** - Exposure to **plastic component design and manufacturing processes** - Experience with **PLM & PDM software systems** - Knowledge of **manufacturing processes** and product lifecycle**Role & responsibilities** **Soft Skills:** - Strong communication and documentation skills - Ability to work collaboratively in team environments - Detail-oriented with problem-solving mindset **Tools & Software:** - CAD Tools: SolidWorks (preferred), or equivalent - PLM/PDM Systems - MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
