CAE Application Engineer

Job description

**Job Responsibilities:** - Understand CAE user requirements and identify opportunities for process automation - Define automation approaches and system architecture for CAE process standardization - Support development and deployment of CAE Process Automators and Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) applications - Work on integration of multiple systems including CAE tools, solvers, SDM, and PLM/PDM - Define and support interfaces, data flow, and workflows between CAE, SDM, and PLM environments - Support preparation of technical solution proposals for internal programs - Coordinate with CAE community, and cross-functional stakeholders - Support rollout, user adoption, and continuous improvement of CAE /Process automation solutions - Support rollout, user adoption, and continuous improvement of CAE automation solutions Minimum Qualification & Specialization - B.E. / M.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering - Min 5 years of experience in CAE Automation, KBE, or CAE Application Development - Knowledge of CAE tools such as HyperMesh, ANSA, ANSYS, Abaqus, MSC Nastran, etc. - Experience with automation and scripting languages (Python, Tcl/Tk, VB, JavaScript) - Knowledge of multiple system integrations involving CAE, SDM, PLM, and enterprise systems - Exposure to Simulation Data Management (SDM) software concepts and workflows - Understanding of desktop, server-based, and web-based system architectures - Familiarity with Linux OS and shell scripting preferred - Experience in an automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier environment preferred - Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
