**Area of Responsibility:** The CAE Engineer will be responsible to carry out FE modelling of various automotive assemblies, connection and model build for Durability, Crash and NVH attribute. **Job Requirements:** - Experience in Meshing (pre-processing) and model build support to CAE group for various components or sub-systems. - Strong knowledge inmeshing BIW and plastic parts. - Experience in solid hexa/Tetra meshing for solid parts. - Experience in model built and assembly for BIW / Closures / Engine/ Powertrain / Suspension / Interiors and exteriors from crash, Dura and NVH domain prospective. - Good Handholds experience on Hyper mesh, ANSA. - Knowledge of Abaqus, Nastran, LS Dyna and primer will be added advantage. - Knowledge of scripting in python and C++ will be added advantage. - Update domain specific existing reference meshed model, based on relevant changes as per CAD data. - Update thickness and material based on BOM. - Cross check connectivity, attachments, spot-welds, adhesives etc. as per CAD data for each sub-system model. - Perform domain specific pre-processing checks and deliver the model to the client. - Debug zero mili-second/Modal run to make sure final deliverables are error free. - Fill quality checklist and model sanity checklist and send along with deliverables. - Theoretical knowledge of finite element analysis. Good communication, report writing, technical documentation and presentation skills. - Short presentations on deliverables, model quality, connections Deliverables. - Responsible for project execution within the schedule and efforts estimated for programs using Hyper Works and LS-Dyna. - Interaction with the internal customer for requirements clarifications. - Checking the deliverables prior to delivery to the client. - Guiding team members to perform the identified tasks. **Essential:** Must have tools skillset- Hyperworks, ANSA, Primer. Working knowledge of Teamcenter/3D Experience. Excellent communications skills, ability to communicate at all levels. PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
