Cath Lab Technician

Job description

- Prepare the Cath Lab and OT for diagnostic and interventional procedures. - Assist cardiologists and doctors during procedures such as **Coronary Angiography (CAG), PTCA/PCI, and other cardiac interventions**. - Operate and assist with Cath lab equipment and imaging systems as per hospital protocols. - Ensure all required instruments, devices, consumables, and emergency equipment are available before procedures. - Maintain **aseptic/sterile techniques** during procedures. - Assist with patient preparation, positioning, monitoring, and transfer before and after procedures. - Handle and maintain Cath lab instruments and equipment appropriately. - Follow infection-control, radiation-safety, and OT safety protocols. - Assist in maintaining procedure records, inventory, and documentation. - Check equipment functionality before procedures and report any technical issues promptly. - Coordinate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, anaesthesia team, OT staff, and other departments. - Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and turnover of the Cath Lab/OT as per protocol. - Be prepared to assist during **emergency cardiac procedures and code situations**. - Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and patient-safety standards.
