Job description

**Responsibilities**: **Interior Development** - Define and agree on inputs and technical constraints with train-level stakeholders. - Lead the mechanical design and integration activities for “make” parts and ensure robust interface management for “buy” parts. - Drive installation deliverables, including specifications, 3D/2D design, and validation plans. - Contribute to first train mounting reviews, ensuring design maturity and supporting production readiness. **Design & Integration Leadership** - Ensure that the installation design meets functional, safety, and maintainability requirements. - Coordinate with engineering, industrialization, and production teams to validate manufacturability and ease of assembly. - Oversee design progress, technical risk mitigation, and configuration management for assigned scope. - Support design reviews, prototype validation, and problem resolution activities. **Cross-Functional Collaboration** - Serve as the primary contact for technical discussions between internal engineering teams and external suppliers. - Facilitate communication between design, production, and quality stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolution. - Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and feedback integration. **Competencies & Skills:** **Technical:** - Strong experience in sheet metal design and metallic materials. - Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes (e.g., welding, bolting, fastening). - Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools (e.g., CATIA V5, 3D Experience, ENOVIA, or similar systems). - Solid understanding of mechanical integration principles and industrial installation processes. - Strong understanding of design-to-manufacture processes and mechanical validation methods - English proficiency at an operational level (reading, writing, and technical communication). **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Systems Engineering. - Minimum 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and installation development, preferably within the railway, aerospace, or industrial sectors. - Proven experience leading integration activities, supplier coordination, and first train/first article installation reviews.
