Cloud Technology Consultant - AWS Cloud, Director

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Technology Consultant to serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on expert for enterprise clients embarking on their AWS cloud transformation journeys. In this Director-level role, you will shape cloud strategies, guide large-scale migrations, and influence adoption of cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices. This is a senior individual contributor position ideal for a technically strong consultant who combines architectural depth with an advisory mindset. Responsibilities • Partner with enterprise clients to assess current-state environments and define future-state cloud strategies with AWS as the primary platform • Advise clients on cloud transformation approaches, including platform engineering, modernization, and migration • Provide thought leadership on cloud-native architectures, landing zones, multi-account strategies, and operating models • Lead cloud consulting engagements involving large-scale workload assessments and migration planning (rehost, re-platform, refactor, re-architect) • Guide clients in designing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments • Contribute to strategic discussions on cloud governance, security models, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence • Shape solution approaches for RFPs, proposals, and client workshops, working closely with pre-sales, architecture, and delivery teams • Stay current with GenAI / LLM-powered cloud use cases and advise clients on adopting innovative cloud capabilities • Influence cloud adoption decisions through deep expertise in automation, containerization, DevSecOps, and platform scalability • Serve as a hands-on technical advisor and strategic individual contributor, bringing clarity and direction to complex cloud transformation initiatives Requirements • 20+ years of overall IT experience, including extensive hands-on cloud consulting or platform engineering experience • Expertise in AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, governance, and DevOps • Background in multi-cloud environments, with exposure to Azure as an added advantage • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization programs • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), CI/CD pipelines, and container platforms (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes) • Understanding of cloud security, IAM, and networking, along with encryption, compliance, and cost optimization • Capability to collaborate directly with business, technology, and architecture stakeholders to influence strategy and guide transformation choices • Cloud certifications (AWS preferred; Azure certifications considered a plus) • Depth of an architect combined with the mindset of an advisor, comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor and influencing strategy through hands-on expertise • Confident in client-facing discussions and capable of translating complex cloud concepts into actionable business insights • Passionate about cloud transformation, platform engineering, and modern cloud-native practices • Strong English communication skills (B2 level or higher) Nice to have • Skills in application development using .NET, Java, or Python • Background in SRE practices • Proficiency in DevSecOps practices
