**Job Purpose** This role is responsible for building AI assisted user interfaces that enable business users to design, manage, and operate Voice AI agents at scale. The UI Lead is expected to adopt an AI first engineering approach, where AI tools are actively used to generate, refactor, and validate Angular and Node.js code, while the engineer retains architectural control and accountability for enterprise grade outcomes. **Duties and Responsibilities** A. AI Augmented UI Engineering (Replace Existing Section A) - Build and evolve AI assisted UIs where: - Large parts of UI code, components, and workflows are generated or accelerated using AI tools - Human effort is focused on architecture, integration, and correctness - Use AI to: - Generate Angular components, services, and forms - Scaffold Node.js / BFF layers - Refactor, standardize, and optimize UI code - Ensure AI generated code adheres to: - Platform standards - Security guidelines - Performance and accessibility benchmarks - Expectation: The UI Lead does not manually write repetitive UI code end to end, but orchestrates AI assisted development responsibly. **Full Stack Platform UI Development (Refined)** - Lead full stack UI development using: - Angular for enterprise frontend - Node.js for backend for frontend services - Define clear boundaries between: - AI generated code - Hand crafted architectural or integration code - Review, harden, and productionize AI generated outputs before release. - Ensure UIs are: - Config driven - Versioned - Multi tenant safe **Studio Configuration First UI (Strengthened)** - Build Studio style UIs that allow users to: - Configure agents, prompts, flows, and policies - Preview and simulate conversations - Use AI to: - Auto generate configuration screens - Suggest prompt improvements - Validate flows for errors or compliance gaps - Avoid screen per use case UI design; favor metadata driven and AI assisted generation. **Enterprise Quality Governance (New / Explicit)** - Own quality of AI generated UI code: - Readability - Maintainability - Security - Ensure AI usage does not bypass: - Code reviews - Testing - Auditability - Define guardrails for where AI is used and where deterministic logic is mandatory. **Key Decisions / Dimensions** - UI architecture patterns and component frameworks. - Frontend vs backend responsibility boundaries. - AI integration points in UI workflows. - Performance vs richness trade-offs. - Tooling, libraries, and UI tech stack evolution. **Major Challenges** - Designing UIs for complex AI systems without overwhelming users. - Making AI behavior visible, explainable, and controllable via UI. - Supporting real time voice operations in a browser. - Balancing flexibility (config driven) with guardrails (compliance). - Scaling UI architecture as tenants and features grow. **Required Qualifications and Experience** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 7+ years in frontend / full stack development. - 3+ years leading UI or full stack teams. - Proven experience building enterprise SaaS products. - Experience with platform or tooling UIs (not just consumer apps). **Technical Skills** - Expert in: - Angular - TypeScript - HTML/CSS - Strong experience with: - Node.js, REST APIs, BFF patterns - Microservices interaction - Working knowledge of: - Cloud native systems - Authentication, RBAC - Event driven UI updates (WebSockets) - Exposure to AI powered UX is a strong plus. **Mindset Behavioral Skills** - AI first thinking (use AI to build better UIs, not just show AI output). - Platform mindset (build once, reuse everywhere). - Strong problem-solving and systems thinking. - Ownership mentality and high attention to detail.
