One of the major responsibilities of the Configuration manager is to govern Configuration Items data quality and ensures accuracy of CMDB data for other ITSM Processes consumption and reduce impact on services in an organization: **Config Analyst/Manager role:** - Manage the flow of day-to-day operations from Configuration Management - Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to resolve data quality issues related to IT Infrastructure and Application - Handle Client escalation/s related Configuration management processes and procedures. - Manage Configuration Management process performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), report progress regularly and implement recovery plans to address non-achievement of targets. - Governance- track and review various CMDB reports including Configuration task Ageing analysis, data quality issue gaps resolution, various management weekly/monthly reports etc. - Conduct/ facilitate Configuration Management process training for all IT team members in the account. - Work closely with other ITIL process Team Leads for improvement in services provided to . I.e. Incident, Change management, Problem Management, ServiceNow Platform team etc. - Analyze trends of Incidents induced for Configuration items (Cis) in domain. Work with Incident coordinators and SPM / SDM in domain to drive the trend downwards. - Implementing and finding Best Practices in current model. Publishing and educating the team to follow the Best Practices. - Approx. 5 years of experience in Service Asset and Configuration management - Good understanding of CMDB data model - ITIL Foundation Certification, Certifications in ServiceNow Configuration Management will be an asset. - Good knowledge of SDLC lifecycle and ITSM processes like Incident, Problem, Change - 3 years of working experience in ServiceNow platforming CMDB module including Service Discovery etc. sources of CIs, Dashboard & CI reporting - Experience working on performing Configuration tasks of CI lifecycle activities in CMDB-ServiceNow. - Good experience in managing a CMDB team in Global delivery model - Good experience of CMDB- Governance and support. - Prepare CMDB support status reports, conduct DQ Audit activities with stakeholders - Nice to have experience in working in Kanban Boards methodology will be added advantage - Should be able and/or manage to work on organizations Configuration Management Policy, Strategy, SMO support function for CMDB - Good Knowledge of ITSM Process documentation and Trainings. - Excellent communication skills – Written and Verbal to lase with stakeholders & other ITSM teams along with analytical, problem-solving skills
