The role involves managing and overseeing collections processes for assigned portfolios, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding dues while maintaining a customer-centric approach and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring collection performance, guiding and supervising collection teams and agencies, reviewing delinquency trends, and implementing action plans to improve recovery rates. The Collections Manager will coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues, negotiate repayment arrangements, and ensure accurate documentation of collection activities in line with bank policies. This role also includes reporting key metrics to leadership, identifying process improvements, and supporting risk mitigation strategies for the portfolio. **Qualifications** - Experience in collections management, credit control, or recovery operations in banking or financial services, with a strong understanding of retail lending products. - Skills in team leadership, stakeholder management, and performance monitoring to guide and motivate on-ground and agency teams effectively. - Competence in data analysis, MIS reporting, and use of collection tools or banking systems to track portfolio performance and drive decisions. - Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, compliance requirements, and fair collection practices, with the ability to apply them consistently. - Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills to handle customer interactions professionally and secure sustainable repayment plans. - Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, commerce, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification in banking or risk management is an advantage. - Prior experience in managing collections in a bank or NBFC, preferably in retail or consumer lending, and familiarity with local market dynamics in Jaipur and surrounding regions. - Ability to work on-site, handle high-volume portfolios, and adapt to dynamic targets and timelines while maintaining ethical standards.
