**Commvault Backup Administrator with Azure - Job Description & Skill Set** **Position Summary** - Manage and support Commvault backup infrastructure integrated with Microsoft Azure environments. Ensure backup, recovery, retention, compliance, monitoring, and disaster recovery readiness. **Core Commvault Skills** - Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery - CommServe administration and maintenance - MediaAgent and VSA management - Backup policy, schedule, storage policy configuration - Client installation, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting - Deduplication, replication and capacity management - Backup monitoring, reporting and alert management - Disaster Recovery (DR) and recovery testing - Tape and disk library management **Azure Skills** - Azure Virtual Machines backup and restore - Azure Blob Storage and Recovery Services Vault - Azure Backup and Site Recovery concepts - Azure Storage Accounts and networking basics - Azure IAM/RBAC and Managed Identities - Azure Monitor and Log Analytics - Understanding of Azure security and compliance **Responsibilities** - Monitor daily backup jobs and resolve failures - Perform backup, restore and disaster recovery operations - Implement and maintain backup policies and retention schedules - Support Azure workloads protection and recovery - Perform health checks, upgrades and capacity planning - Create operational documentation and reports - Coordinate with application, server and cloud teams **Required Experience** - 3+ years in Commvault administration - Experience with Azure cloud services - Windows and Linux server administration knowledge - Knowledge of storage, networking and virtualization - ITIL incident and change management exposure **Nice to Have** - PowerShell scripting - Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305) - Experience with VMware and Hyper-V backups Knowledge of security and ransomware protection
