Our insights guide clients through strategic decisions about plan options, improvements, and possible outcomes. **General Description Of Role** Due to the rapidly growing demand for our financial modelling capabilities and tools, we are looking for a highly capable individual with a strong level of interest in technology and financial & risk modelling, innovative approaches to problem-solving and an unerring commitment to quality. You’ll help us deliver the pension scheme modelling software which enables us to provide the highest quality advice to our clients. In return, we’ll help you become an expert, with training on our asset and liability modelling approaches, cutting edge tools and computer programming techniques. **Job Responsibilities** - Ideally you would have 2+ years actuarial or quantitative analyst experience of working with financial modelling software ideally within a pensions or insurance environment. - As a member of our development team within Risk & Modelling your responsibilities are likely to involve: - Development of Risk Analyzer/RATE, Aon’s pension scheme asset/liability modelling and risk management software. This includes all aspects of the end to end process including defining requirements, code development, testing and reviewing changes. - Providing technical support to client teams in both retirement and investment pension scheme consulting and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. - Developing our modelling techniques to maintain Aon’s position within the market - Staying abreast of emerging technology developments in order to bring best practice solutions to Aon’s modelling software - Being aware of developments in the industry to provide input into new technology initiatives to support Aon’s retirement and investment consulting **Skills/Competencies Required** Your skills and qualifications will ideally include: - Have coding experience ideally in C#. - Experience using source control (e.g. Git, TFS) and deployment tools (e.g. AzureDevOps, GitHub) - A creative thinker and problem solver with an interest in developing financial modelling software - Mathematically literate with strong understanding of algorithms and flow control, applied to quantitative modelling and analysis. - A desire to grow your knowledge to be equally comfortable with both pension scheme assets and pension scheme liabilities - Ability to work with others to develop innovative solutions to support and grow our financial modelling capabilities - Consistently acts with the highest integrity and professional standards. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills **How We Support Our Colleagues** In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we are proud to be an equal opportunity workforce.
