Job Description Role Overview The Senior Consultant will lead complex Post Payment Audit analysis, validate higher-value recovery opportunities, coach team members, improve audit guidelines, and support client-facing claim discussions. The role requires deeper understanding of leakage scenarios, supplier commercial arrangements, audit methodology, data limitations, and root-cause remediation. This position bridges execution and workstream leadership. Key Responsibilities · Analyze large, multi-source structured and unstructured datasets to identify inconsistencies, leakage scenarios, and commercially defensible recovery opportunities. · Lead validation of complex claims involving contracts, agreements, supplier correspondence, margin protection, promotions, rebates, allowances, pricing, AP exceptions, and historical transaction records. · Review claim packs for quality, evidence sufficiency, calculation accuracy, and supplier defensibility before escalation or submission. · Identify new audit concepts, develop or update audit guidelines, and support testing of new recovery scenarios. · Train new team members, share best practices, and provide coaching on claim logic, documentation quality, and stakeholder communication. · Anticipate delivery risks related to data quality, redundancy, audit sustainability, budget constraints, supplier resistance, or people/process issues and escalate with mitigation options. · Contribute to client updates, status reporting, process improvement initiatives, and operational governance. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field · Advanced degree, MBA, CA or relevant audit/finance certification preferred · 5 - 10 years of experience in post audit, AP recovery, commercial audit, retail audit, procurement analytics, or supplier recovery operations preferred Success Measures · Quality of complex claim validation and reduction in rework · Creation of new audit concepts or guideline improvements · Effectiveness of team coaching and knowledge transfer · Early identification and mitigation of delivery risks Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and comfortable working with data, documentation, suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders. The candidate should demonstrate ownership, professional communication, confidentiality, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
