Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. - OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. - OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field. **Job Overview:** This role is responsible for **system-level SysDebug enablement and postsilicon validation** across **CPU, Uncore, and SoC Level debug**. The position focuses on **driving E2E debugs, debug feature validation, scan-dump and trace analysis, system failure triage, and escape prevention**, partnering closely with **Architecture, DV, Firmware, Tools, and Program teams** to ensure robust debug readiness from **bringup through production milestones**. **Candidates with minimum 7 years of relevant experience can apply to this role.** **Key Responsibilities:** - **System Debug Validation** - Driving E2E debugs - working with SW/FW/DV/Design teams - Debug across the IP's BOOT, Low Power, DVFS, and fault scenarios - Ensure correct debug behavior across Pre-Si and Silicon platforms. - **Scan Dump Analysis** - Scan dump Analysis and triage and driving towards the root cause is key. - Working with SW teams - to triage the debugs and root causing the issues - **Uncore & Fabric Debug** - Debug system-level hangs, deadlocks, and fabric-level failures. - debug visibility in the below areas: - NoCs, interconnects, CMUs, clocking, resets, bus voting - Timeout detection, error paths, debug using available probes, Fault scenarios - **Debug Tooling & Automation** - Enable and validate endtoend debug workflows using internal debug Frameworks - Drive standardization of debug environments and APIs across programs. - **Silicon Bringup & Escape Prevention** - Actively support silicon bringup and postsilicon debug - Perform root cause analysis for boot failures, hangs, resets, power collapses - Track and prevent SysDebug escapes across SoD, ES, and CS milestones. - **CrossFunctional Collaboration** - Partner with CPU DV, Uncore DV, Firmware, Architecture, Tools, and Program teams - Participate in SysDebug forums, HW/SW syncs, and readiness reviews - Contribute to validation dashboards, KPIs, and debug readiness signoffs
