Data DevOps - Azure Engineer

Job description

**Key Skills:** **Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Cloud, Terraform, CICD, DevOps, Kubernetes, ETL** **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Build, maintain, and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines for the HOLT application suite, including secure build chain requirements and automated testing workflows. - Own scripting for build, packaging, deployment, environment configuration, and release promotion across dev, QA, and production-aligned environments. - Support regular release cycles across multiple pods and improve deployment automation with validation, artifact flow, and repeatability. - Provide Azure SQL engineering support for connectivity, configuration, permissions/access flows, and pipeline integration (non-DBA). - Support Azure-hosted platform components and reliability work, including Azure Databricks job/pipeline operations and AKS deployments using Helm charts. **Skills Required:** - 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, including at least 2 years hands-on with GitLab CI/CD. - GitLab CI/CD pipeline engineering and release automation. - Azure Cloud Services fundamentals for pipelines, storage, managed identities, and networking concepts. - Azure SQL engineering familiarity for access/roles, connectivity troubleshooting, and service configuration. - Azure Databricks operations (running jobs, managing pipelines, and debugging via job logs) plus AKS (Helm charts) and Terraform (IaC) for Azure provisioning. Good to Have: - ETL Tools with practical understanding of ETL workflows. **Education:** Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline; or Master's degree in the same fields
