Data Engineer and Analytics Lead

**Role & responsibilities** **Key Responsibilities** **Data Architecture & Platform Leadership** - Lead the **design and implementation of enterprise data architecture**, including **data warehouse, data lake, and customer data platform (CDP)**. - Own cloudbased data platforms like **Azure Synapse**, including performance, scalability, and reliability. - Define data standards, integration patterns, and best practices across the data ecosystem. **Data Engineering & Integration** - Design and build **robust, scalable data pipelines** using **ETL / ELT** patterns. - Integrate data from **enterprise platforms** such as **Salesforce, SAP, and other customer data processing systems**. - Ensure high data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and operational stability across all pipelines. - Support both **batch and near realtime data ingestion** where required. **Business Intelligence & Visualization** - Lead the development of **enterprise BI and visualization solutions** using **Power BI**. - Build scalable semantic models and highimpact dashboards for senior leadership and business teams. - Enable **realtime and near realtime dashboards** for operational and commercial use cases (experience is a strong plus). - Promote selfservice analytics while maintaining governance and consistency. **Analytics, Forecasting & Business Insights** - Enable **advanced analytics and forecasting** to support demand planning, sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and financial planning. - Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into **analytics use cases and data models**. - Drive adoption of datadriven decisionmaking across the organization. **Functional Ownership Sales, Marketing & Finance** - Deliver analytics and reporting solutions for **Sales & Marketing**, including pipeline, performance, customer behavior, and campaign insights. - Support **Finance analytics**, including revenue, cost, margin, forecasting, and performance management use cases. - Ensure data accuracy, auditability, and alignment with business metrics. **Leadership & Stakeholder Management** - Act as the **singlepoint owner** for data engineering and analytics initiatives. - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, BI developers, and analysts. - Collaborate closely with IT, Digital, Sales, Marketing, and Finance leadership. - Prioritize initiatives based on business impact and delivery timelines. **Preferred candidate profile** **Experience** - **1015 years of overall experience** in data engineering, analytics, and BI. - Proven experience in a **lead or architect role** for enterprisescale data platforms. - Demonstrated delivery of analytics solutions for **Sales & Marketing and Finance** functions. **Technical Skills** - Strong handson experience with **Azure Synapse**. - Extensive experience building **data warehouses, data lakes, or CDPs**. - Expertise in **Power BI**, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard performance optimization. - Strong knowledge of **ETL / ELT pipelines**, data integration, and transformation frameworks. - Experience integrating data from **Salesforce, SAP**, and other enterprise systems. - Exposure to **realtime or near realtime analytics dashboards** is a plus.
