**Job Title:** **Data Migration Functional Consultant – Syniti MDM / SAP S/4HANA** 📍 Location: Pan India 🕒 Experience: 11-20 years | Full-time **About the Role** We are seeking a Data Migration Functional Consultant with proven expertise in Syniti Master Data Management (MDM) and/or SAP S/4HANA migration frameworks. You will play a critical role in ensuring clean, consistent, and business-ready data during large-scale ERP transformations, working closely with functional SMEs, data architects, and technical migration teams. **Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)** **1. Requirement Gathering & Planning** - Engage with business process owners to analyze legacy data models and define migration scope. - Prepare data migration strategy documents, functional specifications, and mapping templates. - Identify critical master data (Customer, Vendor, Material, BP, Finance objects) and transactional data in scope for migration. - Align data migration activities with the overall project timeline, cutover plan, and deployment strategy. **2. Data Mapping, Transformation & Cleansing** - Define source-to-target data mappings between legacy systems and S/4HANA using Syniti MDM or SAP Migration Cockpit. - Support data enrichment, standardization, harmonization, and deduplication activities. - Validate transformation logic to ensure alignment with business rules, compliance standards, and reporting needs. **3. Mock Loads, Reconciliation & Validation** - Lead mock migration cycles, ensuring successful extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of master and transactional data. - Create and validate reconciliation reports, data load validation scripts, and error logs. - Perform data quality checks, volume testing, and exception handling to ensure completeness and accuracy. **4. Cutover & Go-Live Support** - Support cutover planning, final mock runs, and execution of production migration loads. - Work with cross-functional teams to resolve cutover issues within defined timelines. - Validate migrated data in production and provide post-migration hypercare support. **5. Governance, Compliance & Knowledge Transfer** - Ensure data migration complies with audit, GDPR, and SOX requirements. - Maintain proper documentation, migration runbooks, and functional specs. - Deliver training sessions and KT workshops for business users and support teams. - Recommend best practices, migration accelerators, and data governance frameworks for future projects. **Qualifications & Skills** - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in data migration projects with a strong functional consulting background. - Hands-on expertise with Syniti MDM platform, SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), LSMW, or equivalent tools. - Strong understanding of SAP master data objects (BP, Material, Vendor, Customer, GL Accounts, Cost Centers, etc.). - Proven experience in ETL processes, data profiling, cleansing, harmonization, and reconciliation. - Knowledge of functional integration touchpoints across SAP modules (MM, SD, FI/CO, PP). - Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. **Nice to Have** - Experience with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance). - Knowledge of data quality frameworks, data stewardship, and lineage tracking. - Exposure to RISE with SAP or cloud migrations. - Industry domain knowledge in Manufacturing, Retail, Pharma, or FMCG.
