Country/Region: IN Requisition ID: 37064 Work Model: Position Type: Salary Range: Location: INDIA - PUNE - BIRLASOFT OFFICE - HINJAWADI # **Title:** **Data Modeler -Snowflake Sr Technical Lead-Data Engg** Description: ## **Area(s) of responsibility** **Sr. Data Modeler – Snowflake** We are looking for a **Lead Data Modeler** with strong experience in **enterprise data modeling, data warehouse design, and Snowflake Data Cloud**. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in designing **conceptual, logical, and physical data models**, along with strong hands-on experience in **dimensional modeling, complex SQL, and enterprise-scale data warehouse / data mart design**. **Key skills we are looking for:** - 7-10+ years of overall experience in **data engineering, data modeling, analytics engineering, or related roles** - 6–8 years of experience as a **Data Modeler or Data Architect** - Strong expertise in **dimensional modeling**, including fact tables, conformed dimensions, and **SCD Type 1 / Type 2** - Experience in designing **conceptual, logical, and physical data models** - Strong knowledge of **OLTP and OLAP modeling** - Hands-on experience with **complex SQL queries** - Experience designing **enterprise-scale data marts and data warehouses** - Strong experience with **Snowflake Data Cloud** - Experience with **Informatica PowerCenter** **Preferred exposure / added advantage:** - Experience with modeling tools such as **SQL DBM, ERWIN, or ER/Studio** - Understanding of **modern data lake / medallion architecture** including bronze, silver, and gold layers - ERP domain data modeling experience in **Oracle EBS, JDE, or Oracle Cloud ERP** - Additional experience with **Oracle** and **SQL Server** - Strong documentation skills including **source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and data lineage** **Soft skills:** - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders - Experience leading or mentoring small technical teams - Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical contribution
