**Greetings from TCS!!** **TCS Bangalore hiring for DBA!!** **Role & responsibilities:** **Key Skills/Knowledge:** - IBB DB2 LUW- i.e Database administrator of DB2.Experience on installation of different versions of DB2 on Redhat Linux Environment. - Good knowledge of Linux. - Scheduling shell scripts on LINUX environments. - Good experience in generating DDL's using DB2LOOK command on existing database and its objects. - Use RUNSTATS, REORGCHK and REORG to enhance application performance. - Good knowledge on data movement utilities like IMPORT, LOAD, and EXPORT under high volume conditions. - Tuning using db2advisor and db2explain tools. - Database performance tuning by configuring database and DBM Parameters. - Configuring the HADR and monitoring the HADR databases. Purescale implementation desired. **DB2architecture and Administrator, solutioning of Arctitecture. LUW, pacemaker setup(HADR) 6 to 12 both Designer and Administrator.** **Experience required:** - Perform day-to-day administration of DB2 databases, including security, backup/recovery, capability planning and performance tuning. - Perform feasibility studies for installation. - Monitor database performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency. - Capacity planning, space management and data maintenance activities for database system. - Perform database enhancement and modification as per the requirements. - Perform database recovery and backup tasks on daily and weekly basis. - Assist in implementation of new features and program fixes in databases. - Maintain database security and disaster recovery procedures. - Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of multiple databases. - Monitor databases regularly to check for any errors such as existing locks and failed updates. - Manage database logins and permissions for users. - Well versed with DB restores including Redirected restores on production and wherever required.
