**Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate closely with development teams to design efficient, scalable, and maintainable database schemas - Participate early in application design to ensure optimal data modeling and query patterns - Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access patterns during development lifecycle - Design and review normalized and denormalized table structures - Define indexing strategies and data partitioning aligned with application use cases - Define and enforce database coding standards and performance guidelines - Analyze query execution plans and performance issues identified during development, testing, and client UAT and production - Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements - Contribute to database security design (roles, privileges, masking strategies) - Actively participate in backup and restore process design - Analyze Oracle AWR reports - Extensive experience with Oracle Database 19c - Strong experience in data modeling and schema design for complex applications - Proficient in optimizing complex queries and store procedures, optimized indexing - Experience analyzing execution plans and tuning queries in development phases, or to unlock production incidents - Hands-on experience working with developers in Agile environments - Database design skills - Knowledge of Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) for backup –understanding of production database concepts (HA, backup, recovery) as context for design decisions - Understanding of database security and practices - Proficiency in shell scripting - Proficiency in Docker - Familiarity with Linux - Experience with Oracle SQL Developer - Knowledge of cloud database solutions such as Oracle cloud, Amazon RDS for Oracle, MS Azure **What you bring:** **Added bonus:** - Java knowledge - Report generation - Basic understanding of Kubernetes
