Job Description Role Overview:The Delivery Leader – Record to Report is responsible for overseeing the entire R2R cycle, including general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end close, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This leadership role ensures financial accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial results, while driving transformation, standardization, and automation across global operations.🔑 Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Strategic LeadershipDefine and drive the global R2R strategy aligned with corporate finance goals and regulatory requirements.Lead transformation initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, and global scalability.Establish and track KPIs for the R2R function (e.g., close cycle time, reconciliation backlog, reporting accuracy).2. End-to-End Process OwnershipGeneral Ledger Accounting: Oversee day-to-day GL entries, journal processing, accruals, and adjustments.Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead the financial close process ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.Fixed Assets Accounting: Manage asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and audits.Intercompany Accounting: Ensure timely and accurate intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations.Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Monitor and ensure the timely completion and accuracy of reconciliations.3. Compliance & GovernanceEnsure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP), internal policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).Collaborate with audit, tax, treasury, and legal teams during internal and external audits.Maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.4. Financial ReportingOversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.Ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness of all reports submitted to corporate or regulatory bodies.5. Technology & AutomationPartner with IT to optimize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reporting tools (e.g., Black Line, One Stream, Power BI).Lead initiatives around automation, RPA, and analytics to improve cycle time and data accuracy.6. Global Team ManagementLead, mentor, and grow a global R2R team including regional leads, accountants, and reporting analysts.Foster a performance-driven culture with strong attention to detail and compliance.Manage talent acquisition, development, retention, and succession planning.7. Stakeholder CollaborationServe as a strategic partner to FP&A, Controllership, Tax, Treasury, and Business Unit finance teams.Provide financial insights to support business decisions, forecasts, and budgeting.8. Performance Management & ReportingDevelop and track operational metrics like:Close cycle duration (e.g., # of days to close)% of reconciliations completed on timeof journal entries processed per FTEQuality score of financial reportsDrive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making.
