This role involves overseeing day-to-day customer service, supervising branch staff, and ensuring adherence to banking policies, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls. The Deputy Branch Manager will help drive sales of banking products, manage customer relationships, and monitor performance metrics to achieve branch targets. Daily activities include coordinating cash and transaction management, resolving escalated customer issues, reviewing operational reports, and supporting training and development of team members. The role also requires close collaboration with regional leadership to implement initiatives that enhance branch efficiency, service quality, and profitability. **Qualifications** - Experience in branch operations, retail banking, or financial services, with strong knowledge of banking processes and regulatory compliance. - Skills in customer relationship management, service delivery, and handling escalations to ensure a positive and professional customer experience. - Capabilities in team leadership, performance management, and staff coaching to support branch goals and maintain a collaborative work environment. - Competence in sales, cross-selling of banking products, and business development to meet or exceed branch revenue and growth targets. - Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret reports and make data-driven decisions. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and familiarity with local languages in Bengaluru preferred. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in banking or finance is an advantage. - Prior experience in a supervisory or deputy management role in banking or financial services is highly beneficial. - Comfort with banking technology platforms, digital channels, and basic MS Office tools for reporting and documentation.
