Safety Planning and Coordination - Develop and implement a comprehensive site-specific Safety Management Plan aligned with local regulations, industry standards, and project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) - Conduct regular risk assessments to identify hazards and assess safety risks on-site. - Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks and prevent accidents or injuries. On-Site Safety Management - Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. - Inspect and audit the site regularly to identify potential hazards and ensure that safety measures are being followed. - Conduct site walk-throughs to ensure that proper safety signage, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other safety measures are in place. Safety Audits and Inspections - Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure that safety policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed on-site. - Ensure that all safety records and incident reports are accurately maintained, and follow up on corrective actions for any non-compliance issues. Accident Investigation: - Lead investigations into safety incidents or near misses to determine root causes, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Provide incident reports and presentations for management, highlighting safety trends and areas for improvement. Safety Training and Awareness - Deliver safety training sessions for workers, contractors, and subcontractors on topics such as fall protection, equipment handling, emergency procedures, and safe work practices. - Foster a safety-first culture by promoting awareness and encouraging proactive safety behaviors among all on-site personnel. Safety Reporting and Documentation - Maintain detailed records of safety audits, inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other safety-related activities. - Provide regular safety reports to senior management, highlighting key safety metrics, incidents, trends, and improvement actions. Emergency Response Planning - Develop and implement emergency response plans for the construction site, ensuring all personnel are trained in emergency procedures (e.g., fire drills, evacuation plans, first-aid protocols). - Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills to ensure readiness for various types of emergencies. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: - Ensure the site complies with all applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations, codes, and laws (e.g., OSHA, local building codes). - Stay up-to-date on the latest safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices, and ensure their implementation on-site. Safety Equipment Management - Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and proper usage of safety equipment and PPE on the construction site. - Ensure that safety equipment is inspected regularly and replaced when necessary. **Note : Candidate should be locally based within the project region or demonstrate strong familiarity with the local market, regulatory environment, and stakeholder ecosystem.** **Must possess a proven track record of employment stability, with consistent tenure and progressive career growth across previous organizations.** **Prior experience with reputed Tier 1 Real Estate Developers, Tier 1 EPC/Contracting Organizations, Multinational Project Management Consultants (MNC PMCs), or similarly established organizations handling large-scale and complex real estate or infrastructure projects is essential.**
