Job description

**Roles and Responsibilities:** - Identify develop and monitor annual departmental objectives, key measurable, training requirements and budget - Ensure on-time deliveries to the customers at lowest logistics cost and optimum inventory - To develop in coordination with product engineering cost and timing estimates for new models, prototypes and existing models - To ensure compliance with TS16949 requirements in all areas in MP&L - Maintain stores and inventory level as per organization objectives - Analyze supplier capacity and requirements and initiate actions to bridge the gap - Responsible for smooth and timely receipt of incoming material and dispatch of finished goods to customer - Set up and maintain inventory control systems to optimize inventory levels - Set up a system for cost effective scrap disposal - Review and approve cost effective logistical solutions and service base for import of material - Assist Finance Department in estimating costs for business plans - Implement internal controls applicable to materials planning and logistics area - Provide Leadership to ensure adherence to VBOS processes - Training and managing a high-performance oriented team of MP&L engineers - Other duties assigned by management **Qualification and Experience:** - Graduate with 13 - 20 years of relevant work experience **Requirements Competencies** - In Depth experience on handling Import and export of courier shipments. - Hands on experience of handling inbound and outbound domestic air / train / road Shipments. - Well versed in use of MS office tools ( Excel / PowerPoint )
