**The opportunity** Hitachi Energy is currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for the Power Transformers to join our team in Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual. The business’s comprehensive portfolio includes power transformers, traction transformers, insulation and components, digital sensors, and transformer services. **How You’ll Make An Impact** - The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer up to 765 kV Class design covering Canada countries. - Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions. - Responsible to prepare electrical design (Quotation) meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / Canada standards as per project schedule. - Responsible for Preparation of Prelim Customer documents, Tender documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule. - Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network. - Participation in internal design concept reviews. - Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference. - Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world. - Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. - Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. **Your background** - B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering. - Minimum 4 years’ experience working in Electrical design. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered. - Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics - Should have good understanding of IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards. - Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous. - Experience on Microsoft office VBE and tools would be advantageous. - Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
