Job description

We are seeking a skilled **CAD Engineer** with experience in **Piston Design** and strong proficiency in **PTC Creo**. The ideal candidate should have a background in the **Automotive Industry**, preferably in powertrain or engine components, and be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing piston components while ensuring compliance with quality, performance, and manufacturing requirements. **Key Responsibilities** Create and modify 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings of piston components using **PTC Creo**. Design and develop pistons, piston rings, and related engine components as per customer and project requirements. Perform design calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and GDT implementation. Coordinate with CAE, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams during product development. Support new product development and engineering change management activities. Ensure designs comply with automotive standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing feasibility. Participate in DFMEA, design reviews, and technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and engineering change requests. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams for prototype and production support. **Required Skills** Strong experience in **PTC Creo (3D Modeling Drafting)**. Experience in **Piston Design** and engine component development. Good understanding of **GDT, Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing**. Knowledge of automotive product development processes. Experience with engineering drawings, BOM management, and change control processes. Understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, and forging. Familiarity with DFMEA, APQP, and quality standards. **Preferred Qualifications** Bachelor''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in automotive powertrain, engine, or piston manufacturing industry. Exposure to PLM tools such as Windchill will be an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
