Job description

Position: Digital Apigee Developer / API Engineer Experience: 5–12 Years Location: Pan India Employment Type: Full-Time Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Apigee Developer/API Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Apigee, Kafka and DevOps. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, securing and managing APIs and integrating them with enterprise applications and event-driven platforms. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop and manage APIs using Apigee / Apigee X. - Develop and configure API proxies, policies, shared flows and API products. - Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys and related security mechanisms. - Work with Kafka for event-driven integrations and messaging. - Develop and support Kafka producers, consumers, topics and partitions. - Implement CI/CD pipelines for API and application deployments. - Work with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps or similar DevOps tools. - Collaborate with development, integration and cloud teams to deliver API solutions. - Monitor API performance, troubleshoot production issues and optimize API traffic. - Work with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud environments where applicable. - Follow API governance, security and development best practices. Mandatory Skills - Strong hands-on experience in Apigee / Apigee X / Apigee Edge - API Management / API Gateway - API Proxy and Policy development - Kafka / Apache Kafka - Kafka Producers & Consumers - DevOps / CI-CD - Jenkins / GitLab / Azure DevOps - REST APIs - OAuth 2.0 / JWT - Good troubleshooting and production-support skills Good to Have - GCP - Docker / Kubernetes - Java / Spring Boot - Node.js / JavaScript - OpenAPI / Swagger - Microservices - API monitoring and analytics Candidate Profile - Strong experience in API Management and Apigee - Hands-on exposure to Kafka and event-driven architecture - Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work with cross-functional technical teams
