Own end-to-end delivery accountability for AWS platform engineering, cloud infrastructure services, governance, security, reliability, and operational excellence - Define and execute multi-year AWS cloud roadmaps, architecture strategies, and operating models to support business growth and technology transformation - Establish and govern AWS Landing Zones, AWS Control Tower, multi-account management frameworks, and enterprise cloud governance models - Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK, ensuring automation-first delivery and operational consistency - Lead large-scale AWS modernization programs, including cloud migration, platform engineering, DevOps transformation, and cloud-native adoption initiatives - Oversee enterprise cloud operations, platform reliability, observability, automation, and service resilience across AWS environments - Define cloud architecture standards, reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and engineering best practices for enterprise-wide adoption - Manage large cross-functional and globally distributed teams across Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Security, and Infrastructure functions - Ensure successful delivery through effective program governance, resource planning, risk management, quality assurance, and executive reporting Platform Strategy, Governance & Architecture - Own AWS platform strategy, reference architectures, cloud governance frameworks, and enterprise cloud operating models - Drive adoption and standardization of: AWS Control Tower AWS Landing Zones AWS Organizations Service Control Policies (SCPs) AWS Config Automated Governance Guardrails - Define enterprise standards for: AWS Networking Architecture Transit Gateway Design VPC Architecture AWS PrivateLink Identity & Access Management (IAM) AWS SSO OIDC Integration Cloud Security Architecture - Partner with Security, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant cloud platforms Infrastructure Engineering & Automation - Lead Infrastructure-as-Code adoption at scale using: Terraform AWS CloudFormation AWS CDK - Establish automation-first engineering practices, reusable modules, self-service platforms, and cloud engineering accelerators - Create and maintain golden AMIs, infrastructure blueprints, baseline configurations, and enterprise cloud templates - Drive CI/CD automation, infrastructure lifecycle management, and cloud provisioning standards across the organization - Promote platform engineering principles to improve developer experience, speed, scalability, and operational efficiency Reliability, Observability & SRE Leadership - Establish Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices including: SLIs / SLOs Error Budgets Incident Management Problem Management Resilience Engineering Chaos Engineering - Own enterprise observability strategy leveraging: Amazon CloudWatch AWS CloudTrail AWS X-Ray Amazon EventBridge OpenTelemetry Third-Party APM Platforms - Drive operational excellence through monitoring, automation, auto-healing frameworks, runbooks, and operational playbooks - Improve platform reliability, availability, scalability, and service performance across critical workloads Security, Risk & Compliance Management - Integrate security-by-design principles across cloud platforms and workloads - Drive enterprise cloud security initiatives covering: IAM & Identity Governance Encryption & Key Management (KMS) Threat Detection Security Monitoring Logging & Audit Controls Compliance Management - Lead adoption of: AWS Security Hub Amazon GuardDuty Amazon Inspector IAM Access Analyzer - Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks Cost Optimization & FinOps Leadership - Lead AWS FinOps strategy and cloud financial governance initiatives - Drive cost optimization through: Chargeback / Showback Models Rightsizing Savings Plans Reserved Instances Resource Optimization Cloud Cost Governance - Establish cloud financial KPIs and ROI measurement frameworks across AWS environments - Drive continuous improvement in cloud utilization, efficiency, and business value realization Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management - Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, business leaders, and senior technology stakeholders on cloud strategy and infrastructure transformation - Lead executive governance forums, steering committee meetings, architecture reviews, and transformation discussions - Manage program risks, escalations, dependencies, and executive communications across large-scale AWS initiatives - Collaborate closely with business, security, infrastructure, and application teams to align cloud platforms with enterprise objectives - Manage strategic vendor relationships and evaluate emerging AWS technologies and services to support innovation and modernization efforts People Leadership & Capability Development - Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of AWS Architects, Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, SREs, and Cloud Specialists -
