## **Company:** Qualcomm India Private Limited ## **Job Area:** Finance & Accounting Group, Finance & Accounting Group > Finance **General Summary:** **Role Overview** The Director, Global Statutory Reporting Center of Excellence (COE), will lead the Hyderabad-based centralized statutory reporting organization responsible for the governance, coordination, execution support, and continuous improvement of statutory reporting and audit activities across global jurisdictions. This leader will establish and mature a world-class COE that delivers standardized, scalable, and high-quality statutory reporting processes while partnering closely with regional finance teams, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Shared Services, and external auditors. This is a highly visible leadership role with significant interaction with senior finance leadership and the opportunity to shape the global statutory compliance strategy, operating model, service delivery framework, and talent agenda. **Key Responsibilities** **Global Statutory Reporting Leadership** - Lead the Global Statutory Reporting COE and establish a scalable operating model supporting statutory reporting and compliance activities across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, India, and other global regions. - Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for statutory reporting transformation, standardization, and process optimization. - Drive consistency in statutory reporting practices, deliverables, methodologies, and governance across all supported jurisdictions. - Serve as the primary escalation point for complex statutory reporting, compliance, and audit matters. **Statutory Reporting & Compliance Management** - Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of statutory financial statement preparation and filing activities across multiple legal entities globally. - Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements, accounting standards, and regulatory deadlines. - Partner with regional accounting teams to proactively identify reporting risks and ensure timely resolution of technical and operational issues. - Maintain strong governance processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of statutory reporting deliverables. **Audit Governance & Stakeholder Management** - Provide executive oversight of statutory audit activities across global regions from planning through final sign-off. - Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, including Big Four audit firms and local statutory audit providers. - Collaborate with regional finance and accounting teams, Corporate Accounting leadership, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and other cross-functional teams to ensure efficient audit execution. - Monitor audit progress, escalations, key findings, and remediation activities across jurisdictions. **Operational Excellence & Transformation** - Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, and simplification. - Develop and implement global KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and reporting metrics to improve transparency and service delivery. - Identify opportunities to leverage technology, workflow tools, AI, and automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve scalability. - Drive adoption of best practices and establish a culture of operational excellence across the COE. **Risk Management & Controls** - Ensure effective internal controls are maintained across statutory reporting and audit processes. - Partner with SOX, Internal Audit, and Compliance teams to strengthen governance and risk management frameworks. - Monitor regulatory developments and evaluate potential impacts to statutory reporting requirements. - Oversee remediation of audit observations and control deficiencies where applicable. **Talent Leadership & Organizational Development** - Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team supporting global statutory reporting activities. - Establish workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development strategies for the COE. - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and customer service. - Mentor and develop future finance leaders within the organization. **Required Qualifications** **Education** Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification required. MBA or advanced business degree preferred. **Experience** 18+ years of progressive experience in accounting, statutory reporting, audit, or financial reporting. **Global Scope** Significant experience managing global statutory reporting, external audits, or corporate accounting functions within a large multinational organization. **Leadership** Experience leading large teams and managing managers in a shared services, global business services, or center of excellence environment. **Audit** Prior experience working with Big Four accounting firms, either in public accounting or through extensive audit management responsibilities. **Transformation** Proven track record leading transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives. **Core Skills** **Leadership:** Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated success building and developing global teams; ability to influence and drive alignment across senior finance and business leaders. **Technical Expertise:** Deep understanding of statutory reporting requirements, financial reporting frameworks, audit methodologies, IFRS, US GAAP, local reporting requirements, internal controls, governance, and compliance. **Stakeholder Management:** Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex relationships with senior finance leaders, regional controllership teams, and external auditors. **Operational Excellence:** Ability to manage multiple global priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong project management capabilities and experience implementing process improvements, shared-service model
