Our platforms support Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 organizations and are engineered for scale, reliability, and operational excellence Role Overview The Director of Engineering for the SRE organization will lead strategic planning, execution, and operational excellence across key programs, infrastructure initiatives, and innovation efforts. This role is responsible for driving large-scale transformation initiatives, optimizing resource utilization, and accelerating technology adoption while ensuring strong governance, security, and compliance standards. In this capacity, you will lead the support and scaling of highly available, AI-powered SaaS platforms built on cloud-native architectures. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding production stability, elevating system reliability, and enabling rapid business growth across multi-cloud environments, including AWS and GCP. The primary focus of this role includes incident management, release governance, reliability engineering, and operational excellence for complex, large-scale distributed systems. Key Responsibilities In this capacity, you will lead the support and scaling of highly available, AI-powered SaaS platforms built on cloud-native architectures. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding production stability, elevating system reliability, and enabling rapid business growth across multi-cloud environments, including AWS and GCP. The primary focus of this role includes incident management, release governance, reliability engineering, and operational excellence for complex, large-scale distributed systems. Infrastructure & Operations • Lead incident management processes to ensure timely resolution. • Tracks performance of infrastructure, Dev/AI ops for digital platforms. • Drive IT engagement for system integration and support. Software Management • Monitor software subscriptions, consumption, and cost optimization. • Track and Manage package dependencies and ensure compatibility. • Oversee End-of-Life (EOL) management for packages and systems. • Track and enforce EULA compliance across all software assets. Innovation & Thought Leadership • Track and drive authorship of white papers to showcase technological advancements. • Organize tech talks, external training, and workshops to foster innovation culture. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing teams of 20+ members • 12+ years of experience in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering within large-scale production environments • 7+ years of hands-on experience deploying, operating, and optimizing production workloads using CI/CD pipelines in AWS and/or GCP environments • 5+ years of experience managing distributed systems and streaming platforms, including Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Spark, Flink, Storm, and cloud-native services such as AWS EMR, Dataproc, ElastiCache, Amazon RDS, or Cloud SQL • 5+ years of automation and software development experience using Python, Go, and/or Rust, along with strong shell scripting expertise • 5+ years of experience defining, implementing, and operationalizing metrics to monitor infrastructure and application health, reliability, and performance • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent frameworks **What We Can Offer You:** **Health & Wellbeing** We strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing. **Personal & Professional Development** We also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are.
