**Job Title: Senior Executive/ Deputy Manager Dispatch** *(Stamping / Sheet Metal / Automotive Components Industry)* **Role Overview** The Senior Executive Dispatch is responsible for managing end-to-end dispatch operations for stamped components, ensuring **on-time delivery, logistics planning, inventory accuracy, and customer compliance**. The role involves coordination with production, quality, stores, and logistics teams to meet delivery schedules while optimizing cost and efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Dispatch & Logistics Operations** - Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules based on production output and customer delivery requirements - Ensure timely shipment of stamped parts (press shop components) to customers or warehouses - Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement, route planning, and cost negotiation - Monitor dispatch performance against OTIF (On Time In Full) targets **2. Coordination with Production & Planning** - Work closely with production (press shop/stamping) and PPC teams for alignment of dispatch priorities - Ensure availability of finished goods as per delivery schedules - Manage urgent dispatches, line stoppage situations, and priority orders **3. Inventory & Warehouse Management** - Maintain accurate stock records of finished goods and dispatch-ready materials - Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance (especially in automotive components) - Oversee packing, labeling, and storage as per customer specifications - Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations **4. Customer & Documentation Compliance** - Ensure all dispatch documents are accurate and complete: - Invoice - Packing list - E-way bill (India-specific) - GRN/Delivery challan - Adhere to customer-specific requirements (OEM norms, labeling standards, barcoding, etc.) - Handle customer portals for dispatch updates and ASN (Advance Shipment Notice) **5. Quality & Safety Compliance** - Ensure dispatch material meets quality standards and is properly inspected - Maintain safe loading/unloading practices - Comply with ISO/IATF and safety standards applicable to automotive/stamping industry **6. Team Management** - Supervise dispatch staff, loaders, and warehouse personnel - Allocate duties and ensure manpower availability for shifts - Train team on dispatch processes, safety, and compliance **7. Cost Optimization** - Optimize freight cost through route planning and load optimization - Monitor transport performance and negotiate rates - Reduce dispatch-related losses, damages, and delays **8. MIS & Reporting** - Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports: - Dispatch performance - Pending orders - Logistics cost - Track KPIs like OTIF, rejection due to transit damage, and dispatch accuracy **Key Skills & Competencies** - Strong knowledge of **dispatch, logistics, and warehouse operations** - Understanding of **automotive stamping processes and supply chain** - Familiarity with **SAP and MS Excel** - Knowledge of **E-way bill, GST documentation (India)** - Strong coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Team leadership and communication abilities **Qualifications & Experience** - **Education:** B.E./Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or Graduation with relevant experience - **Experience:** - Typically **10–12 years** in dispatch/logistics within stamping or automotive manufacturing - Prior experience in a supervisory role preferred **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - On-Time Delivery (OTD) / OTIF performance - Dispatch accuracy and zero documentation errors - Inventory accuracy (%) - Logistics cost per unit - Customer complaints related to dispatch **Work Environment** - Manufacturing plant (press shop/stamping facility) - Exposure to shop floor and warehouse operations - Shift-based working may be required
