**A hands-on senior engineer and architect responsible for designing, developing, and guiding the delivery of scalable, high-quality server-side and client-side applications within the platform group. Operates as a full-stack technical leader with strong architectural ownership.** **Key Responsibilities** - **Lead architecture design and technical reviews across multiple engineering pods, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.** - **Demonstrate proficiency in leveraging AI-powered coding tools, such as Windsurf, to enhance software development efficiency and code quality.** - **Possess the ability not only to understand broader technical and business strategies but also to define these strategies and effectively implement them by leading and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.** - **Provide solution architecture and design guidance to internal teams and clients leveraging the platforms products.** - **Mentor and coach junior engineers on software design principles, clean coding practices, and professional development.** - **Develop rapid, functional prototypes to validate architectural approaches and serve as reference implementations.** - **Define and influence non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, resiliency, and recoverability.** - **Advocate modern engineering practices such as reactive and non-blocking programming and contract-first API design.** - **Present architectural designs to the Architecture Review Board and communicate platform capabilities to stakeholders at all levels.** - **Collaborate with architects across platform groups to ensure alignment with enterprise architectural standards and strategies.** - **A background in Markets and Regulatory Reporting is highly beneficial, as it provides valuable insight into industry-specific requirements and enhances the ability to architect compliant and effective solutions.** - **Exhibit strong critical thinking and communication skills, enabling clear articulation of complex ideas and effective problem-solving in dynamic team environments.** **Qualifications** **Languages & Frameworks** - **Strong proficiency in Java, RESTful APIs, and streaming APIs.** - **Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Spring Boot.** - **Solid front-end and full-stack experience using JavaScript, Angular (v11+), HTML, CSS, Node.js, and JSON.** - **Hands-on system design experience** - **Deep hands-on expertise with XML technologies including XSD and XSLT.** **Data & Integration** - **Strong experience working with relational databases, including Oracle, Snowflakes and SQL Server.** - **Hands-on experience with messaging and event-driven systems such as Kafka and mQueue.** **Architecture & Engineering Practices** - **Proven experience applying design patterns in microservices-based architectures.** - **Experience designing and building high-throughput, highly concurrent microservices leveraging multi-core and multi-node architecture, multithreading, and event-driven processing.** - **Strong understanding of the full SDLC, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and code quality tools (e.g., Git, Sonar).** **Cloud & Emerging Technologies** - **Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and microservices architectures.** - **Exposure to and experience integrating Generative AI capabilities into enterprise solutions.**
