**Role: Cyber Security Data protection Engineer** **Required Technical Skill Set Data Loss Prevention** **Experience:9+years** **Location: Hyderabad/Chennai** Job Description: The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing DLP solutions to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, leakage, or loss. This role involves configuring DLP policies, monitoring data movement, investigating security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies. Key Responsibilities - DLP Solution Implementation & Management - Deploy, configure, and maintain DLP solutions across endpoints, networks, cloud environments, and email systems. • Define and implement policies to detect, prevent, and respond to unauthorized data transfers. - Regularly update and fine-tune DLP policies to minimize false positives and enhance data protection. - Monitoring & Incident Response: - Monitor DLP alerts and investigate security incidents related to data leakage. - Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with IT and security teams to remediate threats. - Generate reports and escalate critical incidents to security management. • Policy & Compliance - Ensure DLP solutions align with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). • Work with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to refine data protection strategies. - Integrate DLP solutions with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and other security tools. - Automate DLP workflows to enhance efficiency and incident response - Hands-on experience with DLP solutions such as Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview (formerly AIP), Forcepoint, Varonis, McAfee/Trellix DLP, or Digital Guardian. • Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data encryption. • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) for DLP event correlation. • Understanding of regex, data classification techniques, and data discovery tools - Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC DLP, CEH) are a plus.
