**Role Summary** We are looking for an experienced **Duck Creek Developer** with strong hands-on expertise in **Billing modules**. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Duck Creek Author and P&C insurance processes, along with solid integration, SQL, and cloud experience. This role involves configuration, integrations, production support, and collaboration across Dev, QA, and business teams. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and configure **Billing** solutions using Duck Creek Author. - Implement and maintain **business rules, forms, transactions, pages, and batch processes**. - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand **P&C insurance requirements** and translate them into technical solutions. - Build and support **integrations** using REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, message queues, and middleware/ESB. - Perform **SQL queries, data validation, reconciliation**, and support data migration activities. - Troubleshoot application issues using logs, traces, payloads; perform **performance tuning and root cause analysis**. - Support deployments across **Dev, QA, UAT, and Production** environments using CI/CD pipelines. - Provide **production support**, including incident resolution and defect fixes. - Collaborate in **Agile/Scrum** teams and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Required Skills & Experience - **3-10 years** of total IT experience with 3**+ years of Duck Creek development**. - Strong hands-on experience with: - Duck Creek **Billing** (exposure to both preferred) - Duck Creek **Author**, product configuration, rules, forms, transactions, pages, batch processing - Strong understanding of **P&C insurance domain**, including: - Claims lifecycle, coverages, limits, payments, recoveries - Billing schedules, dunning, agency billing, fees, and refunds - Integration expertise with **REST/SOAP APIs**, JSON/XML, API gateways, message queues, and ESB. - Strong **SQL Server (T-SQL)** skills including querying and tuning. - Experience with **cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)** and **CI/CD pipelines** (Git-based version control, build & deploy). - Proven experience handling **multiple environments** (Dev/QA/UAT/Prod). - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have - Experience with **Duck Creek OnDemand (SaaS)**. - Exposure to **AWS services**: API Gateway, Lambda, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, RDS/SQL Server, Secrets Manager. - Knowledge of **event-driven architecture, microservices**, and distributed tracing. - Experience with **Duck Creek Policy module** and rating engines. - Familiarity with **BI/Reporting tools** such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Power BI. - Knowledge of **insurance data standards** (ACORD, ISO) and payment gateway integrations.
