Classification : Internal Job Title: DWH Analyst/Developer Department: RETO SSC Data **About Business Line/Function** The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S Dodd-Frank Act. The Data Office Team is part of the Information Technology Group which works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business, strategic initiatives, regulatory changes and reengineering of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency. **Position Purpose** The role will report to the Data Lead and will be primarily responsible for implementation and ongoing governance of an enterprise Business Glossary as a definitive dictionary of business terms and relationships used across the enterprise. The definitions must be designed to engender a common understanding of the term for all stakeholders involved in data governance and Regulatory reporting teams. The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and divisions of BNP Paribas as necessary. It is important that the candidate should have strong financial products knowledge along with high analytical skills, technical expertise and attention to details. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Perform initial of business requirements - Adopt knowledge of existing technological stack and business solutions - Develop mostly independently in SQL or Python - Manage orchestration tools such as Airflow - Execute testing of developed solutions - Support delivery in all phases of development lifecycle Contributing Responsibilities - Verify BRD - Be familiar with design documents - Document existing and newly developed solutions - Perform Root cause analysis and other diagnostic documentation - Have a good understanding of the data flows and understand its lifecycle of source to destination - Identify risk in process and propose / implement controls Technical & Behavioral Competencies Classification : Internal - Data Warehouse Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data warehouse solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability. - Business Intelligence (BI) Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, transforming them into effective BI solutions for actionable insights. - Data Modeling and Analysis: Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. - Enterprise Architecture Integration: Contribute to the alignment of data warehouse solutions with the enterprise architecture, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices. - Database Management: Knowledge of databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle and PostGre) and optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity and security. - ETL Processes and Automation: Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently into the data warehouse. - Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation and reports to support data warehouse processes, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing. **Specific Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Proven experience 5 years in Data Warehouse development and Business Intelligence. - Knowledge of databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle and PostGre), including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning. - Expertise in Python development - Understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and their application to data solutions. - Knowledge of an orchestration tool such as AirFlow - Experience with Cloud services and cloud operations - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities) **Technical Skills** - MS SQL, Oracle, PostGre - Python - Airflow - Cloud (good to have) **Behavioral Skills** - Communication - Analytical Ability - Team Player Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent Location: Chennai, India Classification : Internal **About BNP Paribas Group** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
