What will you do : EHS officer will be responsible for driving EHS agenda for Mumbai Global Capability Center office and road safety of employees who drive for company business in connection with Mumbai GCC operation. Key Responsibilities The position will be part of a network of EHS professionals supporting offices, Deliver and Road safety in the APAC region. The role is responsible for driving EHS compliance and programs associated with office, delivery operations, and driving for company business EHS related activities. S/he will partner and routinely collaborate with country/company commercial leaders in road and office safety, APAC EHS team, office leaders and their operational teams, corporate real estate (CRE), Facilities Management, GCC operation, deliver leadership and external service providers to clarify and agree on roles and responsibilities and support the Join us in shaping our future–and yours. development of strategies and execute tactical plans that support the health and safety of employees based in offices and in the field in the APAC region. The candidate is highly customer-focused and able to effectively communicate and network at all levels and successfully operate in multiple cultures. Manage EHS programs of assigned Office, Deliver locations and support Road safety across the westt India region. Identifies and implements strategies to close compliance and system gaps in existing road and office safety processes and programs. Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with regional Single Points of Contacts Office leads, EHS team, Deliver Leads – internal and external, and other partners to implement Deliver/road/office safety related strategies/programs and initiatives delivering EHS excellence in culture, performance, and process improvements. Execute the EHS strategy, OKR and workplan implementation, leading, and executing plans, goals, and actions in alignment with deliver/road/office EHS standards and local/regulatory requirements with an aim at reducing crashes and Severe Injury/Fatalities (SIFs) within set targets. Provide subject matter expertise in office and road safety, to include environmental aspects, and develop innovative solutions for competency building and resource allocation striving to create a best in class in EHS office, road and deliver safety program. Support development of regional office and safety budgets within the business and monitor APAC EHS performance through regular road safety audits and office/deliver assurance audits. Lead and deploy environmental sustainability initiatives in support of established targets. Drive strategic improvements which are prioritized from a business perspective. Partner with Procurement to provide EHS guidance in the selection process and governance of 3PL’s, and fleet vehicles. Support the development of training matrix of company and regulatory requirements, tracking, reporting, and development of educational and awareness campaigns. Partner with Occupational Health Professionals to ensure the successful deployment of employee health, well-being and performance programs and resources. Identify risks and gaps, define, and drive the adoption of innovative and evidence-based solutions/interventions that impact employee safety on a broad basis including development of compelling business cases and influencing Business Leaders and key stakeholders (e.g., IT ,Legal, Commercial) to reach alignment and secure funding Identify and implement digital solutions that influence the risk perception and the proper behavior of our associates in terms of safety, well-being, and sustainability Required Qualifications University bachelor’s degree or equivalent Experience 3-5 years of progressive EHS, Facilities management and/ or Operations Strong EHS compliance orientation Safety & Environmental technical skills related to offices and warehouses. Translating complex situations into simple working solutions, managing complexity, collaborating with all levels of management, and influencing decision-makers across a matrix organization. Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and creative analytical skills. Ability to approach difficult situations, treat others respectfully, be open to diverse opinions, and arrive at decisions that are value-based, strategic, prudent and compliant with standards and regulatory requirements Competence in interfacing professionals from other countries, cultures, and different hierarchical levels. Ability for care, engage, connect people promoting atmosphere to deliver high performance results. Travel: approximately 10% based on the need. Desired Qualifications Additional qualification in Safety & Environment Certifications in EHS (e.g. CSP, PE, CIH) will be an added advantage Experience with local, state & federal regulatory authorities Experience with data reporting and tracking systems.
