ELV Coordinator (BMS & Fire Alarm)

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** **1. Design & Engineering Review** - Review and validate design documents, BoQs (Bill of Quantities), and schematics for BMS and FA systems against global standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, local civil defense). - Coordinate the development of shop drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and as-built drawings with CAD/BIM teams. - Prepare Logic diagrams, I/O summaries, and Cause & Effect matrices for FA/BMS integration. **2. Procurement & Vendor Management** - Provide technical input for material submittals, vendor evaluations, and the procurement of field devices, control panels, and software. - Ensure procured materials strictly align with project specifications and budget constraints. **3. Site Coordination & Execution** - Act as the primary technical point of contact bridging the client, project managers, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) subcontractors. - Supervise site installations to ensure they follow approved drawings, cable routing standards, and manufacturer guidelines. - Track daily work progress and report on project status, highlighting potential bottlenecks to the project head. **4. Testing, Commissioning & Integration** - Lead the site acceptance testing (SAT) and factory acceptance testing (FAT) for BMS/FA panels and field devices. - Verify cross-system integration (e.g., Fire Alarm triggering BMS to activate HVAC smoke extraction, elevator homing, or access control release). - Clear punch lists and manage the final system handover to the client/facility management team **Preferred candidate profile** - **Education:** Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering. - **Experience:** Typically 9 to 14 years of progressive experience in ELV systems within EPC or contracting environments with projects exposure such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Data Center, Semiconductor or Power/Solar etc. - **Core Competencies:** Proficiency in BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP protocols; knowledge of automation platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls). - **Soft Skills:** Strong multitasking, conflict resolution, and technical reporting capabilities
