**Job Title: Embedded Engineer / Lead / Architect** **Experience** : **3–15 Years** **Location** : **Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Noida, Hyderabad** Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer/Lead/Architect to design, develop, and optimize embedded software and firmware solutions for a wide range of hardware platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Embedded C/C++, RTOS, Linux Embedded systems, device driver development, and microcontroller-based applications. The role involves working closely with hardware, software, and validation teams to deliver reliable, high-performance embedded products. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software and firmware for embedded systems. - Develop applications using Embedded C/C++ for microcontroller and processor-based platforms. - Design and implement firmware for ARM, STM32, NXP, or similar microcontrollers. - Develop and debug device drivers for embedded Linux and RTOS-based systems. - Configure and optimize RTOS scheduling, memory management, and peripheral interfaces. - Implement and troubleshoot communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, and Ethernet. - Perform board bring-up, hardware-software integration, debugging, and performance optimization. - Use debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers to identify and resolve issues. - Collaborate with hardware, validation, QA, and cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle. - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and system validation. - Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and development guidelines. - Ensure compliance with coding standards, software quality processes, and industry best practices. - For senior candidates, define embedded system architecture, lead technical design, mentor engineering teams, and drive technology decisions. Required Skills - Strong programming experience in Embedded C and C++. - Hands-on experience with RTOS (such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, VxWorks, or similar). - Experience with Embedded Linux development and device driver programming. - Strong understanding of firmware development for ARM, STM32, NXP, or similar microcontrollers. - Experience with hardware interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, GPIO, USB, and Ethernet. - Proficiency in debugging using JTAG and embedded development tools. - Strong knowledge of embedded system architecture, memory management, interrupts, and bootloaders. - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. - Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, U-Boot, or Linux kernel customization. - Knowledge of secure boot, embedded security, OTA updates, and power optimization. - Experience with automotive, industrial automation, IoT, medical devices, aerospace, or consumer electronics domains. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, CI/CD, and automated testing. - Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell is an added advantage. Educational Qualification - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Candidate Profile - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced development environment. - Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. - Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities. - Passion for embedded systems, innovation, and continuous learning. - Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence.
