**Job Summary** **++Experience++** **9yrs-13Yr**s of experience in technical writing on engine-related documentation. Looking for a **Senior Technical Author** to develop, maintain, and deliver high-quality Engine Manuals for complex engine systems. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, product support, maintenance, and certification teams to create accurate, compliant, and user-friendly technical documentation. **Key Responsibilities** ++Technical Documentation++ * Author, update, and maintain Engine Manuals, including: * **Engine Maintenance Manuals (EMM)** * **Installation Manuals** * **Operating Manuals** * **Troubleshooting Guides** * **Service Bulletins and Service Letters** * Develop detailed maintenance procedures, inspection instructions, and repair practices. * Convert engineering and maintenance data into clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation. * Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, and content structure. ++Engineering Collaboration++ * Work closely with Design Engineers, Product Support Engineers, Service Teams, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). * Participate in design reviews and engineering change discussions. * Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, test reports, and maintenance procedures to develop technical content. * Gather and validate technical information through stakeholder reviews. ++Compliance \& Quality++ * Ensure documentation complies with applicable industry standards and customer requirements. * Support certification, audit, and regulatory compliance activities. * Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance activities. ++Publication Management++ * Coordinate manual updates resulting from engineering changes, field service feedback, and product improvements. * Manage content within Content Management Systems (CMS) and Structured Authoring environments. * Support publication planning, release schedules, and documentation lifecycle ++management.++ ++Education++ * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Technical Communication, or equivalent. **++Technical Skills++** * Strong understanding of engine architecture, systems, and maintenance processes. * Ability to interpret: * Engineering drawings * Bills of Materials (BOM) * CAD models * Technical specifications * Service instructions * Experience with structured authoring tools and content management systems. * Excellent written English and technical communication skills. **++Preferred Qualifications++** * Experience with aerospace or aviation technical publications. * Knowledge on S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200 and XML-based documentation frameworks * Experience with tools such as - Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker, SDL/Tridion Docs, Teamcenter, Windchill, Oxygen XML Editor * Opportunity to work on advanced engine technologies. * Collaborate with global engineering and maintenance teams. * Influence the quality and effectiveness of technical documentation. * Contribute to safe and efficient engine operation and maintenance worldwide.
