Job Title: Engineer II, Control Systems Engineering Job Description: The Role: • A Controls Engineer plays a crucial role in various functions, contributing to product engineering & plant procedures and operations. In this role you will: Responsibilities: • Design and Implement Control Systems: Industrial controls engineers create, develop, implement and maintain control systems for different sectors. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test these systems. • Software and Hardware Solutions: They develop both software and hardware solutions for control systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation. • Algorithm Design: These engineers design and implement algorithms for feedback control systems, optimizing processes and productivity. • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: They troubleshoot issues related to hardware and processes, plan preventative maintenance, and find creative solutions when problems arise. • Efficiency Enhancement: Controls engineers work on processes that increase efficiency, collaborating with other departments and external parties. • Predictive Maintenance: They assist in implementing predictive maintenance plans and analyze plant processes to improve expertise in electronics, engineering, and mechanics. Traits we believe make a strong candidate: Qualifications: • Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical, mechatronics, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering is typically required. • Experience: Two to four years of experience in related fields is beneficial. • Skills: Proficiency in electronics, mechanics, and engineering is essential. Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human Machine Interfaces), AutoCAD, C, C# and RSLOGIX, Schneider Machine Expert, Siemens TIA Portal, Ignition, GP Pro software and systems is valuable. Experience with version control and change management of software an added plus. Be comfortable lifting object that could weigh up to 10-15kgs. Your success will be measured by: • Ensure project plans and schedule for testing are met. • Ensure customer commitments are adhered to. • Work closely in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the project goals are achieved.
