To work within a team of highly skilled network engineers with 24x7 responsibilities for the operability and quality of Colt’s Transmission, owning the responsibility of real time alarm monitoring via monitoring platforms and perform initial actions to support fault resolution. The NOC will be key contributors to network quality, network availability and customer experience. **What you will do** Key accountabilities 24\\*7 monitoring of Colt’s Transmission, Monitors the network to proactively detect possible failures in network and perform initial actions to support fault resolution Continuously monitors resource status to ensure live traffic is adequately supported Other accountabilities Additional • Handling the alerts based on criticality and ensuring the Incidents are created for all valid alerts. • Manage and coordinate faults with peering and transit partners. • Manage and coordinate tasks assigned to other teams, such as Field Maintenance, GCA or TAC teams • Ensure all department processes and procedures are accurate **What we're looking for** Skills & Experience • 24\\*7 monitoring of Colt’s Transmission network by various monitoring platform. Real Time monitoring & understanding of Network Management platforms. • A logical approach of alarm handling. • Individual should have knowledge of working on all/ most of the platforms/ technologies mentioned below: • Technology Proficiency: SDH, DWDM, Transmission Ethernet, MSP, Modular MSP, MPLS, OTN • Monitoring Platform: SMARTS, Netcool. • Element/Network management system: Ciena MCP, Nokia Wave Suite,ADVA FNM, Infinera DNA, NSN ASPEN, Planet Operate, Sonus, ALU OPS • Alarms and ticketing audit to maintain the proactivity • Identifying OSS System issues and & Bug fixing with help of support team Qualifications - Electronics & Communication Engineer (B.E.) or equivalent with 2 to 6 years’ experience in Network Management / O&M profile in multi-vendor environment - Results oriented - Collaborative team player
